About
Dr. Kendall Bourke grew up outside Washington D.C. and received her undergraduate degree from Boston College in Biochemistry before pursing her DVM from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Oahu for the first time and found her passion for emergency medicine and surgery along with surfing. She met her husband while working on Oahu and moved back to Maryland with him. While there, she completed a surgical internship with Friendship Hospital for Animals and continued to work in emergency and specialty hospitals for 6 years. Dr. Bourke is currently enrolled in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners Guided Program, an alternative track to becoming a board-certified specialist in canine and feline medicine.
Dr. Bourke is thrilled to be back on Oahu, where she joined the VERC family in 2021. When not working, she is usually busy exploring the island with her family, which includes her husband, twin girls, and her dog Jackson.
