Dr. Andrzej “Andy” Ogrodny, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM) is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University in 2020, where he also completed a rotating small animal internship. He then completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Michigan State University and became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2024.

Before relocating to Hawaiʻi, Dr. Ogrodny founded and developed the Small Animal Internal Medicine service at Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Byron Center, Michigan. His clinical interests include gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disease, endocrinology, immune-mediated disease, and managing complex chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Ogrodny is especially passionate about veterinary education and clinical reasoning. He enjoys helping referring veterinarians work through challenging cases by focusing not only on what diagnostic or treatment step comes next, but why that step matters. He also creates educational veterinary content online for veterinarians, veterinary students, technicians, and pet owners.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ogrodny enjoys teaching, collecting Pokémon cards, and spending time with his husband and pets. He is excited to join the veterinary community in Hawaiʻi and looks forward to building strong collaborative relationships with referring veterinarians across the state.
