About
Dr. Corinne Lawson obtained her veterinary degree from University of California at Davis and completed her small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Center in Washington State. She had always known that emergency medicine was going to be her career path, but successful management and discharge of the most critical patients during her internship was invigorating, which led her to University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana to complete a small animal emergency and critical care residency and Master's degree.
In addition, Dr. Lawson has always enjoyed teaching and mentoring young, inquisitive minds which inspired her to start her career as an emergency and critical care specialist as a faculty member at University of Wisconsin, Madison. The family's need to be closer to the mountains and oceans led them back to the pacific northwest where Dr. Lawson worked at Summit Veterinary Referral Center, another Ethos hospital. Dr. Lawson worked hard to create an environment of learning at Summit by starting an emergency and critical care specialty internship and then transitioning her efforts to an emergency doctor certificate program, which was a great success!
While living in the pacific northwest Dr. Lawson and her husband became avid scuba divers and really fell in love with the Hawaiian Islands. Ultimately, this led to Dr. Lawson's move to Oahu and she is thrilled to expand the critical care service at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center. Dr. Lawson is passionate about offering and providing the best possible care for the sickest of patients, giving hope to their families. She particularly enjoys management of polytrauma, sepsis, and brachycephalic respiratory crisis (she owns a French Bulldog and Boston Terrier).
Outside of work Dr. Lawson can be found on a boat or beach scuba diving, exploring trails, and/or traveling with her husband.
