About

Fred McFadden received both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree in Marketing and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Sustainable Business from San Francisco State University.

Prior to joining the Ethos Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center (VERC) team in Hawaii, Fred had a very successful career in blood banking for nearly 20 years. Born in his grandmother’s house in a small town outside of Charleston, South Carolina, Fred’s father was in the United States Air Force, which brought the family to Travis Air Force Base in Northern California. Fred grew up in Sunnyvale, part of what is now called Silicon Valley, and stayed in the Bay Area until his move to Hawaii on Earth Day, 2022.

When not working, Fred enjoys spending time with his spouse, hiking and exploring his new home state of Hawaii. They especially enjoy opportunities to stay at their cottage on Molokai. Fred recently joined the Hawaii Yacht Club as an H2O member of this historic organization.
