Kaitlin Esson

Dr. Esson earned her Bachelor of Science with honors from American University before completing a Master’s degree in microbiology and biogeochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University, where she discovered her passion for oncology during her third year of veterinary school.

After graduation, Dr. Esson completed a rotating internship at the University of Illinois and then went on to an oncology residency at NC State University. She has a special interest in hospice care and is especially passionate about supporting feline oncology patients and their families.

When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Esson enjoys practicing Bikram yoga, hiking on local trails, and spending time with her two rescue cats Biscuit and Grimm.
